GNA employs Cold Extrusion route for the manufacturing of Rear Axle Shafts. The Cold Extrusion comes with Online Stress Alligner and inhouse seven tank surface treatment for easy flow of material. The dies used are carbide that gives highly repeatable results.

Currently, we are having two presses of 250 and 350 Tonnes that are capable of delivering 1.2 million components a year.

The advantages of Cold Extruded Axle Shafts are:

• No oxidation takes place resulting in good surface properties.
• Good mechanical properties due to severe cold working as long as the temperatures created are below the re-crystallization temperature.
• High repeatability of parts as die wear is minimal.
